PMO Manager

Torbay Pharmaceuticals (TP) have a great opportunity for an experienced PMO (Programme Management Office) person to lead on governance, project standards and planning across TP’s diverse portfolio of projects. 

We are looking for a pragmatic person, from a PMO background, who will be able to apply deep subject matter knowledge in a way that is sympathetic to TP but which raises project quality standards. You must have excellent communication skills – both verbal and written, comfortable working with Director and Executive levels. You will be highly methodical and organised approach to work ensuring the ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines

Set up in 2020, the Programmes, PMO and Continuous Improvement team has grown fast and is in high demand. We are a very diverse group both in terms of professional backgrounds (pharmaceuticals, financial services, publishing) and age range (from 30’s to 60’s). Main duties of the job

• Leading the PMO team to enable quality, timely and cost-effective delivery of TP projects
• Management and organisation of the governance framework including writing monthly reports and creating PowerPoint updates
• Co-creating the standards for all projects and implementing them across all major programmes
• Quality assurance reviews against the project standards
• Developing and running a portfolio-wide resource planning and project prioritisation methods
• Working with finance and the programme managers to ensure budgets and costs are managed
• Training on project management, project templates and project methods
• Managing and facilitating relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders both internally and externally including liaising with people on updates
• Working with the departmental heads on ad hoc pieces of programme, PMO and strategic change work.
